3 days and 2 nights to change your life

What should I expect?

An encounter can be defined as “some unexpected experience”. In life, when we come to Jesus, we usually have a lot of our own expectations. But He has His own plan and it’s often different from ours…and always better.

We might expect Him to give us answers on a question we have, and instead He just gives more of Himself. We might expect Him to guide us to a specific route He wants us to take in our life, but instead He reminds us to just seek Him first and everything else will follow. We might expect Him to take certain sorrows or troubles out of our life, but He instead just tells us to trust Him and wait patiently. We might expect Him to teach us one thing, but He teaches us another instead.

Whatever it is, Jesus likes to surprise us and remind us He’s got it under control. So when we come to Him, we should come expecting an encounter!

“I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.”

– Jeremiah 24:7

What is expected of me?

The expectation from you is an open mind and an open heart to what Jesus wants to do in you at your Encounter. Think about the time in your life before you knew Jesus, or maybe after you knew Jesus, you were wandering or struggling. During those times, did Jesus reveal something to you that you didn’t even know you needed? Be open for Jesus to address questions you didn’t know you had or answers you didn’t know you needed.

How should I prepare?

Pray early, pray often.

Pray that God opens your heart to his gift in this Encounter.

Pray for the brothers with you.

Pray for safety throughout.
